Find Out How You Can Help.

Elder Care Alliance’s Mercy Brown Bag Program helps seniors remain self-sufficient and independent in their own homes, in addition to providing the 117,000 bags with more than two million pounds of food that we distributed last year.

While Mercy Brown Bag Program will always give seniors the groceries they need, we dream of a day when all seniors have enough resources they do not have to choose between a place to live, medicine, or food to eat. However, dreaming is not enough. Every time we get a phone call from a senior who says she has empty cupboards, we are reminded that we must act to create change.

This is why every year we go to Sacramento to participate in Hunger Action Day, and we regularly call our city, county and state representatives to encourage them to support policies that will benefit low-income elders.

Join our voice to speak up for thousands of older adults who are facing food insecurity. Urge your representatives to support our efforts to end senior hunger.
